Day 1: Saddam refuses to recognise Court, pleads 'not guilty'
Still as deluded as ever (regarding his plea). He might have point regarding the vadility of the court though...
But anyway, I hope he rots in jail for the rest of his life. It'd be interesting if he calls certain witnesseses to the stand: namely Donald Rumself and Daddy Bush. At the end of the day, they sold him the weapons to gas the Kurds and Iranians with, and all but encouraged him to do so.
But as I said earlier, he deserves to spend the rest of his life behind bars. I wouldn't execute him though- just as I wouldn't execute anyone else.
