Meeting people from the net

Have you ever met someone that you've talked to on the Internet? (I originally asked this question as I was planning on meeting someone later this week, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it has had to be called off) Now, I know that a group of people are going to a meet on January 8th, hosted by the delectable Aimz. I also know that some couples have met through this site - Kermit and GWST, most notably. I'm just curious as to what you think of all this.
