Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all?
How true do you think this statement is?
Personally I was always a believer in it. I felt that the feeling of loving another and having them love you in return was well worth any heartache that ensued.
These days I'm not so sure. I spent over five years with someone I imagined myself to be with forever. And yes, I may still only be young, but I'm beginning to see those five years as a waste of time. My ex said to me 'don't be sad for what we've lost, be happy for what we had.' :chin: :yuck: Rather clichéd methinks.
Anyway, what does everyone think?
