As we all know people in jail in Britain have no rights other perhaps than the right to breath in and out. Amongst the rights denied to them is the right to vote.
There is a campaign gaining momentum now for the right of vote for prisoners (more info here).
I personally think they should be allowed to vote. If nothing else it might help to cement the view that they are human beings and can make positive contributions to society. But I'd like to hear other people's opinions on this...
