I don't think the young purposely rebel, but maybe are less informed than other people, or have right-wing parents whose views they take on as their own?

Following on from this I'd be interested to see if people take on their view from their parents or think differently from them?

I'd start off by saying that my ex-step dad was extremely racist (and very unintelligent) and this has had an effect on my brother, who hopefully will get his own views when he grows up.
When I was younger I was taught to think that all black people are thick and criminals, thankfully I've grown up to have my own mind. But I'm betting than there are plenty of kids whose narrow minds could be blamed on not only lack of education/information, but parents prejudice.
