Free Training for Voluntary Organisations

Hello

My name is Lindsey Hamilton and I work for an organisation called First Steps. We offer free training to voluntary organisations and are in the process of recruiting for our Manchester programme, beginning 22nd January at St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green North.

How it works is an organisation (up to 3 full-time paid workers) nominates the best person they think should attend our 19 days training programme (this spans over 1 year). Working together we identify the gaps/issues the organisation may be facing. Using what they are learning from the course, they then take this back to their organisation, they share and eventually implement this to help to strengthen them as a whole, not only as an individual. They will work to a development plan over the year and work towards a resource-raising strategy to present to a panel of funders (bona-fide) who will advise them on their plans prior to them applying to any funding. Once completing the course individuals will be awarded with a certificate in Voluntary Sector Management from the University of East London.

Please could you help us to reach organisations who you know could benefit from this programme or maybe help us advertise the course? Contact us for courses we may run in your area.
