Designer store/ Gift certificates

Anyone knows if gift certificates from a designer store in one country, can be used in a similar store in another country?

I mean, designer stores do have a solid base, so wouldn't it be logical?

    See the Versace store here closed down. Got the phone number to the owners, but when I called the people in charge were on vacation and today they didn't answer.

    Just seems to me that designer stores would allow such stuff, since a deal of their costumers probably travel around a lot.

    If not it's a lawsuit apparently :eek:
