i'm going to the docs anyway in a couple of days but thought i may aswell ask if anyone has any ideas what it could be?
i do have probs with my stomach being acidy although don't know if theres a connection.

hmmm, just go to the docs and see what they say. ive had bother with my stomach since october and the doc is still no clearer to what it is. could be ibs, food allergies,, etc etc. its probably nothing to worry about but make sure that the doc investigates it be sure. hope you have more luck than i have had in finding out!

    DONT WORRY!:)

i have that. the docs have been investigating for years and they have come to the conclusion that it's a mix of IBS and anxiety.

the first thing they'll do is make you have a pregnancy test. no matter how much you insist you can't be. probably a good idea and very quick and easy.

then they might prescribe you an anti-sickness tablet (i take stemetil - it's very good).

if the problem lasts a long time, they might refer you to a gastroenterologist (digestive system specialist) who should be able to sort you out.

The problem with stomach problems is that they can have so many causes, and some of the time there isn't much you can do except treat the symptoms, as annoying as it may seem! Things like stress can really mess with your stomach (I get a really dodgy tummy at exam time, or if I'm due for an important hospital appointment, things like that). Also, my stomach tends to get a bit 'upset' around the time of my period, not sure why but it definitely does - could that be a possibility? Another thing that can cause trouble is medications - I've had loads of trouble with anti-inflammatories, but I think paracetamol can also cause the same problems (if taken regularly). Just a few ideas there for you to think about, and suggest to your doc if any of them seem to be relevant! Good luck, Tates xxx
