Stuff you use to soak terry/cotton nappies.

I think it`s called the same over here. Not sure.

If it`s a really bad stain on something important I use Stain Devils.

That`s not the first time I`ve come unstuck with different products having the same name!

One time I`d been gardening all day and I was really stiff. Just went on the net to see who was around and had a brief chat with an American friend. I said I was off to have a soak cause I was aching, and he said Good idea, put some Calgon in it.

I said, um, what are you trying to say?!

    He said, What?

    I said, I know I`m in my 30`s but I`m not that crusty! :-/

Turned out Calgon in the states is a womens` bubble bath thing. Whereas over here it`s limescale remover for the washing machine.

With some stains applying hot water (as in under a tap or putting it straight in the washing machine) will set the stain and make it worse - if you must apply water - always try cold water first.
