Eat by candlelight and have coffee and chocolate afterwards. It'll be great

Well
the plan is...
she'll be home from work @ 8:30...
I want the meal I have prepared to be on the table by this time..
I'll have the lights off,and room lit by candle light if it isn't too dark...
have our favourite cd playing softly
dunno what drinks to have.... im not keen on wine e.t.c and not sure what her preferance is...lol
then i want strawberry's and somethign else to finish with..
how about pasta and boulanaise?
She could be a vegetarians for all we know!!
I love Chinese Food and it's the kind of food that is good for sharing - a little bit of this, a little bit of that!!
If you don't like wine, make cocktails!
Don't just light one candle, you'll need a few or you'll have to have the lights on too.
HAHA
Got a good feelin about this...
I've decided, im going to make
SPAGHETTI CARBONARA
Gona look into some cocktails now!!
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
2 Meanwhile, place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, reserving some of the drippings, crumble and set aside.
3 Scramble eggs in bacon drippings.
4 Place spaghetti in a large bowl. Pour in olive oil, and mix well; use enough to just moisten spaghetti. Stir in bacon, eggs, and Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
forgot about the messy aspect... although that cud invite some fun!
Anyone else do that? Oh well, apart from cooking instructions it sounds like a lovely thing to do
455 g spaghetti
15 ml olive oil
8 slices bacon, diced
15 ml olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
60 ml dry white wine (optional)
4 eggs
50 g grated Parmesan cheese
5 g chopped fresh parsley
0 g salt to taste
0 g ground black pepper to taste
10 g grated Parmesan cheese
Thats to serve 8...
so wont be so large on the bits n bobs..
What sort of cream???
Thanks so much for the advice, got me on the right track...
Oooh ooh ooh I thought of something! Have a purple tablecloth. It's a romantic colour.
I'll be doing this at her place...
she has a free house for a week... i move in on thursday... this will be happening on teh sunday
she goes to work at 1:30 and will be back at 8:30!

A friend just suggested, if its a warm evening, eating in the garden.. ummm
