Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Been rather busy being in the US Marines and all that's going on. So what do we think; is all the civilian deaths propaganda or is it real?

    Some of the deaths are real, most at the moment are propagander. THE big difference is NONE of the civilians were deliberatley targeted by the legitimate armed forces of the UK or US, as opposed to the targeting of civilians by the murdering islamic terrorists.

    Actually, I'd have said that the differences were that the Coalition

    (a) doesn't rejoice in the deaths of non-combatants;

    (b) actually has the concept of a non-combatant.

    cf. al-Qaeda.

    Definately mainly propaganda. Some of the pictures coming of aljazeera tv are just a joke. They claim that 1000 and 2000lb bombs can take out one mud hut and leave everything else around it completely intact. They could at least point out a larger area of rubble to claim was blown up by us.

    Besides it doesnt matter if we think its propaganda or not. The Taliban are only allowing tv coverage from the aljazeera tv people which is fiercely pro-taliban. They show the murder of babies and women, false of course but the arabs watching dont know any better. They are used to the propaganda of state controlled tv and they will lap it all up.

    They must be used to the taste of bullshit by now then. It's a pity that we can get their news but they can't get ours, maybe that way they will see both sides of the conflict.

    According to the BBC monitoring service, the stuff that american "psy-ops" are broadcasting is pretty patronising. "we are just passing through your country"

    But when it comes to BS you've got to hand it to Blair. As for the other side, we hardly hear any of that over here.
