Though I find it foolish for these photos to be given to a high street developer, what actions should be done to punish the personnel who may have harmed Iraqi POW's?

    From the article...

We take responsibility to POWs extremely seriously

And what they mean, but aren't about to say is...
We take secrecy about how we choose to treat these arab scum that we've got the public believing we've 'liberated' even more seriously, and heads are gonna roll for compromising that secrecy!

I suspect the most youll ever see from such situations, is a claim to an investigation and a subsequent court marshall of one or more expendable grunts as scapegoats for those in command who are the true guilty parties.

Once again for those still gullible enough to believe otherwise, this is an imperial corporate backed conquest, it's no liberation!

If this was an isolated incident involving just 1 or 2 soldiers then it would not be as serious (although it is bad enough for course). However there are grave concerns that breaches of the Geneva Convention were widespread amongst Coalition troops:

    Not nice.

Morally, there's no defense if that took place. Legally, it was a war right because it was supposed to be the continuation of a declared war that was paused for sanctions...right? So then the Geneva Convention would apply.

Hardly surprising though, Al, for two administrations which have set the precedent for other governments and our own militaries to emulate... total disregard for human rights and international law. Just call anyone we don't agree with "terrorists" and we can gleefully imprison, torture and kill them with impunity!

Meanwhile the gullible masses doze on unmindful and uncaring that our leaders are proving themselves capable of much of the same evil as Saddam himself (apart from their prior complicities in his crimes). They just package it or cover it up better than he did.

After all, packaging is what we're are good at!

Logic makes me doubt that this torture or mis-treatment of Iraqi prisoners was a matter of policy. Number one, the US troops were telling people to drop their weapons and go home. Number two both countries know the goal is to stop terrorism...and that starts by winning over the people.

Two things on which this administration is failing utterly!

The real goal which perhaps one day youll have the education and understanding to see clearly is to further enrich the multinationals with which members of this administration have been in bed since before you could even walk.
