TONY BLAIR WELCOMES TERRORISTS

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Today, Tuesday 09th, Tony Blair welcomes terrorists into Downing Street while he orders men to bomb other terrorists. Once again he has shown his hypocracy to the people of Northen Ireland and the World. Gerry Adams and CO go to Downing Street to make their demands and as usual Tony Blair will probably give into them.

No - what Blair and Bush will do is freeze all accounts that raise money for the IRA, wait a couple of weeks for the Terrorists to give themselves up then send in the planes to bomb Belfast, Dublin Donegal..... - for any county that harbours a terrorist will feel the mighty wrath of the USof A.
    .....Then they'll drop food parcels!

Blair and Bush will NEVER go after the IRA and loyalist terrorists with the same strength of purpose as they do the Taliban..People in America just wouldnt be able to take it, seeing 'the homeland' being attacked like that.

I would also say theres some degree of racism involved. They dont wanna see white Europeans being killed but they are happy to kick the crap outta a bunch of arabs.

Are we really surprised anymore to see hypocracy in western governments?

Seriously though, there is a difference here. One is state sponsored terrorism, which under UN charter is considered an act of war - the other is internal, ie a country's own citizens. This is why article 5 of NATO can be enforced for Afghanistan...but we get zero assistance for the Irish problem.

Of course nothing stops us from assasinating the Irish terrorists (both sides) other than political will.

but, Ireland isn't part of the UK, and until recently their constitution backed the IRA's position. Why then, was this not state sponsored and subject to article 5?

The Irish constitution didn't back the IRA, it backed a united Ireland. There is a big difference between supporting IRA actions and supporting their aims. I support the aim of a united Ireland, but I will never support using violence to attain it.

I would just like to know how people from England or where ever can say that they support a united Ireland. If you actually lived here you would realise that there is people in Northern Ireland from both communities that want to remain part of the UK. Then if you go across the border you will realise that most of the people that are in the Republic of Ireland do not want to be joined up with Northern Ireland. They are quite uniquely two different countries. So please don't show support for a United Ireland that nobody wants except for the small minority of the IRA.

Why am I not allowed to?

The forces deloyed are British, the taxes paying for the support and upkeep are British and (unless things have changed today) England is part of Britain. THIS gives me the right to have an opinion.

Bet you have an opinion about many things which affect England - look at how many of your MPs vote on matters affecting me. Or are you suggesting that they shouldn't vote, or hold any opinions on anything related to English interests?

Until a United Ireland is a matter of choice for the majority of NI, I will support the institutions which are in place, but I reserve my right to argue for a united Ireland if I want to...
