Although I live in Washington and by default Newcastle / Gateshead should be my sworn enemy (:rolleyes:
) I have witnessed the dramatic improvements there in recent years. In my opinion "the south" gets everything so I think it would be nice if a northern city won.
Was anybody even aware of this? Apparently people who don't live in the areas involved haven't been made aware of this vote, which is very important to the people who live in these places.

Cant back that up with anything, apart from i (hopefully) will be living there for at least the next four years so it should win!
And definatly not anywhere down south. Not that i am biased or southist of course...

Sure, Bradford's got some nice victorian architecture, but the adverts for the thingy were mostly based on Gareth-fucking-Gates.

and birmingham is fully of concrete, i hope somewhere up north wins so they can have cameras following them round asking why they think it's so great there. (sorry have had tv people do that to me before and it's so annoying)
