basically what was it? Im trying to do some research into it but the internet keeps coming up with a load of rubbish and theres only 1 paragraph in my text book on it.

If anyone has to time to any help on this would be much appreciated.

I apoligise by the way for it not really being to politics abd current affairs related.

    I think it was the establishment of the Single Market which took place at the end of 1992.

    I find it strange that Thatcher signed this even though she was/is an arch Euro-sceptic.

    Basically the Single European Act made the European Economic Community become the European Community - a change of name - it also led to the creation of the single market which meant much looser border controls and more freedom of movement of goods, services, workers and capital across the EU.
