cutting a dogs balls off

My dog still has balls (Which he licks regularly) I want them cut off, my boyfriend doesn't.
My argument is he will be less likely to have prostate problems
He won't want to shag everything that moves
he will be calmer.

His argument is

'NO!!! DON'T CUT THE POOR BASTARDS BALLS OFF...EW EW EW ..IT'LL HURT , HOW COULD YOU' etc etc etc...

what do you think is the sensible thing to do!!

    I think you should do it because that way he can't precreate and some other dog owner (who should really have had their female dog sorted out anyway) won't be left with a litter of puppies, which will probably end up at a dog shelter or dropped in the river in a sack.....lol.

    So, yeah do it. :)

    When my other dog was ill the vet said that they knew at least that it wouldn't be prostate problems as he'd been 'done'

    It is 'normal' I guess, and incidentally my last dog had his tail docked (Not by me!) and I think that is a terrible thing to do.

    One reason to do it is he won't be able to get bitches pregnant in the park!!

    Incidentally even if a dog has his balls cut off he can still have the urge to hump another dog.

    get them cut off, its better in the long run, theres far too many unwanted puppies and kittens in the world, its important to get your animals neutered. Ive got to get my dog done at some point soon, ive been putting it off for ages as its quite expensive to get it done, but it might be cheaper for you as your dogs male. It would make the dog less likely to run away, less likely to be aggressive and less likely to try and hump your leg.

    I think not, the dog will still be horny and will still hump things. My mates dog got even worse once it lost its ball dont chop them off leave the dog be just keep it under control and it wont be mating with anything!

    :rolleyes: Its not the same thing at all. Cutting a bitches nipples off would be a pointless exercise. neutering a dog on the other has quite a few health benefits.
