really red,swollen,white discahrge???help???

ok i feel quite embarrased 4 posting this.....oh well!

ok my vagina lips feels a bit swollen and there is a white creamy discharge (alot more than normal) and it seems quite lumpy and thick.

i dont wanna go to the docs, i think its thrush, and i have heard that u can by canestan once from the chemist?????

my bfs penis also has this white discharge and his penis head is quite red???

please help how much is this canestan stuff???

is it really itchy and sore?i had thrush,its awful!i dont know how much it is,but you only need one tablet,and some cream if you want,and it will be gone in a couple of days.you can even buy it at a tesco pharmacy!its really easy to get.hope i helped a bit!

Not only does it sound to me like u have an STD but Jamie has one too. Id tell the poor lad to have himself checked out too cos if he doesnt get rid of it then ull keep catching it.

thrush isnt a disease!its just a fungal infection,not nesseseraly assosiated with sex either!its not an std!

It's only Thrush (probably Candida Albicans), OK so it's an STD, but it is not exclusively an STD.

It's very common & treated easily. Your boyfriend will have to be treated as well or else you'll just pass it back from one to the other.

If you've had it before & had a prescription for it before, all you have to do is ring up your doctor's surgery & ask for a repeat prescription. (Much cheaper than buying Canesten Once from the chemists).

If you haven't had it before then you MUST go to your GP. It's nothing to be ashamed about and you don't have to have had sex to get it. I get it every time I have a course of anti-biotics because the antibiotics kill off normal bacteria that keep it away.

Sorry, I don't know how much it costs, you could just ring up Boots & ask.

i rang my local chemist and asked if i could buy canestan once without a prescription and they said yes aslong as a doctor had diagnosed thrush but if a doctor had diagnosed it wouldnt i have a prescription????

but ne way i went to boots and i dint have enough for the cream so i had 2 get the pessary.

it should be all cleared up by friday!

I had really bad thrush once..my husband had it to..You really need to make sure that you both get it treated.so dont have sex untill you are both clear otherwise it will be a circle of reinfection..
Canesten cream is only about 2 quid..but i found that bathing in salted water helped and i have been told if you put natural yoghurt on a tampon and insert that..this will help.i have not tried this method though...good luck and DO NOT SCRATCH as this will make it worse..

the penis tip is all red and has little cuts on it, and sometimes gets a white dishcharge,and i have got a kind of white discharge but its not as bad as last time, i really cant afford ne canestan and i dont wanna go 2 the docs (kind of a fear)

i always thought it was a tampon covered in live yoghurt, not natural yoghurt.
the live bacteria in the live yoghurt gets rid of thrush, i'm not sure how long u r meant to leave it up there tho. the bacteria in the yoghurt actually stops the yeast from growing and seeing as thrush is a yeast infection i can't see how it could hurt

i was actually just readin a book on sexual health yeaterday, and it said that puttin natural yougurt on a tampon will clear it up. it must be safe if it was in d book <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;

neither would i! its ok now i phoned up the docs and asked if they could write out a prescription 4 me and they did so my mum got me it and now 2nite ill just have 2 shoot the pessary up there!! lol
