No disrespect but is really a good Idea to bring up old subjects? Especially ones relating to sexuality that were left alone! Are you trying to cause up more trouble or something here?
Never put off to tomorrow what you can avoid altogether.
No place for bigots here.
If he wanted to have a say, he should have posted under an unoffensive nickname and said whatever he had to say in a constructive and open minded way.
Apparantly he didn't have the brains for that.

No. I won't. I'll say one thing: Julian Clary is NOT your stereotypical gay man.
Let's dismiss these opinions until we've fed starving children across the world, eliminated all serial killers, rapists and paedophiles etc, and sent William Hague to Pluto.
Then we can worry about the trivial things in life.

isn't Hague already on Pluto, at least mentally and spiritually.

Mentally maybe, but I have problems believing Hague has any more spirituality than Arthur Scargill's arse.

It's a proven fact that nearly all homophobic people are like that because they resent their own repressed homosexual urges - so they try and smokescreen their sexuality by trying to denounce it.
Well, that exposes you then, doesn't it, you wanker!?
You miss the point. Badly.
Gays don't parade because of their sexuality - they parade so that people like you are aware that they exist and that they are as important to society as you are - yet they have very few of the same rights that you have. If society accepted them as equals, they would have no need to "make such a big fuss about their lifestyle" as you put it.
hmmmmmm, only thing I think I'm going to add here is that we need to start taking boundries away now, forget this gay/straight social divide and begin with the polysexual image, whatever goes is welcome...
... thats my views anyway, if places like that began springing up then slowly the opposites would disappear and I wouldn't have to go to opposite places depending on my mind
*grin*
They know what is what, but they don't know what is what....
i'm sure we're better without it.

i have to make the point that the gays that wear make up are very scary, i carry a cork for protection!
Pardon?
I don't know about where you live, but where I live gay people don't randomly have sex with people without their consent(isn't that called rape?).
I'm with Turtle this topic should be closed.
Please, please do not post anything else. Let it die!

That sounds a rather generalised fact, a phobia is a fear, technically homophobia is the fear of homosexuality, society has chosen to associate hate, anger and agression to it. if you are claustrophobic it doesn't mean you wish harm to confined spaces it meand you are a sufferer of claustrophobia a fear of confined spaces. I have a friend who is extremly homophobic, he fears homosexuality following a homosexual rape he suffered, is he not justified to have this fear? he wishes no harm to gay people, just has a perfectly natural fear. Which part of nearly did you not understand? Of course some unfortunate people have suffered dreadful things at the hands of homosexuals but it pales in comparison to what they have had to put up with over the years from us straights.
Your friend's incident was terrible and while I understand his unfortunate fear of ALL homosexuals to the present day, most homophobic people have NEVER been violated against in this way. Their fear or loathing of gays are unfounded which is why many try to hide behind religion or whatever to legitimate their prejudices while not actually dealing with the underlying cause - as mentioned previously, studies have shown that the root of most causes of violence against gays are due to a deep turmoil in themselves. Unfortunately, society has nutured this in people by making homosexuality seem unacceptable.
A fear like that is natural?????? Would you hate all Chinese/Black/whatever people if you were unlucky to have a crime committed against you by one? Hopefully not. But it seems that all gays get dumped into the same pot when just one goes bad. Most gay people are law-abiding citizens who are valuable to society in spite of the obstacles placed in their paths. Remember, for example, if it wasn't for Alan Turing (who was hounded to suicide by the authorites for their intolerance of his sexuality), the Second World War might have ended completely differently. Britain would have taken far longer to break the Enigma code. And he's only one of thousands of gay people that have helped to make the world a better place.
I mean this in the most kind and caring way but, perhaps, your friend needs to speak to someone suitable so that this understandable but "generalised" fear of homosexuals does not continue to ruin his mental well-being. An unresolved fear of anything is bad!!!!
Anyway, as previous posts have said, let's just end this thread and put it to bed ...
