He opposes every war. In the US we have separation of church and state. His opinion is meaningless.

I think he's a force for good if you believe in prayers. And most of the Catholic charities are for good purposes. Some were fronts for the IRA, but not in the way the BBC reported. They had names most people would never guess were connected in any way with Northern Ireland.

Has anyone ever noticed that in virtually every conflict in American history for over a century America has to portray its opponents as "evil" and "immoral?" The enemy simply can never be a political opponent. The "enemy" has to be portayed as one who wants to destroy America's religion, democracy, even though the enemy has little to no interest in interferring in America's internal affairs.

The sheeple wouldnt support the warmongering if they didnt feel they were either personally threatened or rushing in as saviours of the day.

Seems the lessons shown the public in the leaking of the Pentagon Papers back in '71 are all too quickly forgotten. How much the better for the latest batch of lying, rhetoric-spinning warmongers in Washington.

America is mostly Prostestant.
Canada is mostly Catholic.

The Pentagon Papers has been made into a movie. It's being shown on FX, the Fox movie channel this March.

Intersting but doubtful it will give you any insight greater than you could get by investigating their contents for yourself. Those that are declassified that is.

America also denigrates "Old Europe." This is not suprising, America's actions can only strike Europeans as silly - if not outright immaturity. Americans should try imaging 9/11 times 10 million to try to grasp the type of devestation Europe experienced in the Twentieth Century. At the Security Council the other day the Chinese were laughing, calling China an "Ancient Nation." If the Europeans really hated America they would tell America to go ahead and invade Iraq. That will only result in more terrorism against America and more dead Americans. America is now trying to play the Europeans against each other in order to destroy the European Union. One of the primary motivations behind the Iraq War is also that the OPEC nations are beginning to use Euros instead of Dollars. If America's ridiculously inflated currency is devalued then the foreign goods America is so dependent upon will increase in price, resulting in a more true reflection of the value of European and foreign goods. This is something America cannot tolerate, so it is attacking Europe's oil supply with full knowledge Saddam Hussein might destroy it in order to WEAKEN Europe which is beginning to seriously compete with America. This is precisely what the War on Iraq is really about. This is precisely why the Continental European leaders are not going along with it either, whereas they usually would buck their own populations and submit to America's well. The war is not about oil from America's standpoint. America does not get much oil from Irak but the Europeans do. America want to control that oil in order to control Europe. It is a pre-emptive strike on the European Union by the United States.
