North Korea has untested ballistic missile capable of reaching the U.S. West Coast, CIA director George Tenet says.

The US being involved with the freaking UN is going to kill us.

Arguably the rest of the world could say that the US possesses missiles capable of reaching anywhere on earth, and that unless it's dealt with soon we're all going to die.

Unless of course, Aladdin, we boot trigger happy Dubyah and his warmongers out of office soon and restore the Presidency to a sane and rationale individual who will undo the messes the current pack of corrupt fools have created.

How will that address the fact that a failed Korea with a nut running it has a nuclear weapon? Knocking America is easy, but like the guy in Germany is learning...you've gotta have solutions too.

As was said earlier this evening on a BBC interview (forget with whom precisely, but it was a senior figure in one of the foreign policy institutes in Washington)...

Basically this is a warped cry for help from an otherwise isolated nation. The whole thing essentially hinges on the fact that the bilateral agreement between the US and NK of 1994 was broken first by the Bush admin. Only after did NK begin moves to threaten the restart of their nuclear program. So basically if Bush would just get off his high horse and reinstate the prior agreement it is likely Pyong Yang would return to the prior status quo.

That is essentially all they after, its the hawks like Richard Perle who are compounding the problem. This matter could be resolved quickly and peaceably if not for the current beligerence Washington is displaying to the entire world.

And you'd trust this guy with those weapons? He lied in order to get them. We paid for him not to develop them. He keeps saying he wants to talk to the US...so you're right. Also isn't there still a believe among Asians regarding saving face? So maybe he feels like he's being dissed.

The issue isnt that he has weapons pnj. He had those already. Once again, dont lose site of the real situation for all the spin. The current crisis concerns his "restarting" of the nuclear program because the Bush admin renigged on the agreement signed in 1994. Now, giving the flag waving a rest for a moment, consider that this whole mess would never have occurred if the status quo as spelled out in the 1994 agreement had been honoured by Washington in the first place.

So let Bush honour "contractual" arrangements and uphold the integrity of the original agreement and it's more than likely the cloud of uncertainty will blow over.
