Last night they had the US general who used to lead NATO during Reagan's time. Haig or something. He reminded the conservative host that the name calling back and forth across the Atlantic is silly and harmful. He said people like Germany's Schroders come and go but the people of Germany and France have consistently been our allies and very cooperative with NATO. And anti-American leaders can't sustain their leadership unless they offer their people more than an anti-American rant.

I thought that was a good way to look at it...old white men fighting. (My way of saying it.)

Similarly then pnj, ask yourself what Bush is offering America beyond a return to a runaway deficit, declining investments, almost daily fearmongering, and a war which is not the US's business to be waging.

His rants are as bad as the rest, so hopefully your generation will see that and help throw his lame butt back onto the street in 2004.
