Its a scary time.

The news is stacking up with nastiness and the stock market seems to me in terminal decline with massive losses for anyone who even looks at it these days.

And in the middle of this it seems a good time to rush towards a war?! With both the US and the UK saying that they will go to war preaty much whatever the inspectors say.

This will NOT stop 'terror' at all, what ever that is anyway, how can you have a war on a emotion?

If the US and UK go this alone its going to isolate us even more from the rest of the world and we will become the main target for any of the 1000's of terrorist groups around the world. It will also seriously harm our relationship with the EU where whether we like it or not most of our trade comes from.

On an economic basis we are part of the EU and always will be, we can not survive without it.

If this whole thing was about terrorists getting weapons of 'mass descruction' why arent we doing anything about North Korea? They have a history of selling weapons and they have Nuclea missiles.

And whats scariest is that Blair can go to war with even less backing than Bush, its his say so but Bush has to get Congress.

Stop and Think. What are we doing to our own future?
Beep boop. I'm a bot.

Doing what we always do when knee-jerk, power-grasping militant right-wingers are in authority, shooting first and leaving the liberals, who will inevitably follow, to clean up the substantially increased political messes.

It could be argued that if the "liberals" hadn't got us into this mess in the first place, the military wouldn't be involved.

Liberals didnt create these messes nor set up these puppet regimes which are now conveniently cmpared to Hitler by those who put them in power and funded and armed them in the first place. Blame the right wing and its mindless, unaccountable rush to dominate whatever it can.

The It's All Good atitude caused a lot of it.

People in the West knew radical Muslims were preaching destruction of the West and they could see the way women especially were being treated in Afghanistan.

In a It's All Good world, no one needs militaries or CIA's or FBI's. So all of that was cut and weakened with the rights of any minority held over the safety and rights of the majority.

The days of It's all Good are over. There's a lot of bad and we're going after it...before it comes to us.

Would you care to explain how the "liberals" got us in this mess?

If your going to use the treatment of women as an excuse for invading Afganistan, why not about 50 other countries, including some of the US's closest allies in the middle east?

Yes and if the condition of women was our reason (which it wasnt) then why has little changed for women there? Ill tell you why, because the warlords with whom we now ally ourselves are equally as repressive toward females as our previous lackies were.
