Was on Gaydar last year, chat/dating site, and was cruising round looking for a chat coz was really bored. Anyway this guy privates me and he's going on about shaggin me. Told him it's a no go area i was HIV+, and still screwed up over it. I've since had 6 more offers to infect someone. I had some guy, earlier this year crying coz he was so desperate to get infected. I've found websites that arrange "infection parties" where you 10 neg guys and 10 poz guys or guyz and girls and they all shag each other with the specific intent of infecting the neg peeps and these people WANT to be infected.
What is with these people. It's an incurable, fatal disease that you can pass on to people. A death from HIV/AIDS is long, painful (for you and your friends) as slowly all the functions of your body start to collapse. You get fuck all off the government in aid until you've had 1 of 16 defined diseases includin PCP, a usually fatal form of pneumonia (and if it don't kill ya, ya fucked) or Karposis Sarcoma (skin cancer).

I just can't see why someone would choose to get HIV, I mean they might as well just throw themselves onto a traintrack, it would be a lot more painless than the agonising conditions of being HIV+.
The VAST majority of people across the world all wish they were NOT HIV+ and then there are these strange people who desire to have their life sapped slowly away from them. I just don't get it, its a waste of a life...
I know I'm not gunna help or anything, but I'm really sorry u had to go through all that.
God I'm sitting here thinking about it and it's hurting my head cos i can't figure it out!
I can't think of one reaosn why someone would want to become infected with HIV, unless they are suicidle, and even then surely it's easier to jump off a bridge...?

1: These guys jus wanna piss easy life of housing benefit, incapacity benefit and D.L.A. Up to about 4 years ago, yeah that would of happened. But now loads of the rules have changed and like i said earlier there's all these conditions now for gettin top rate benefits.
2: They don't want the worry of maybe getting HIV, so go out of their way to get it.
Either way they're seriously screwed up little individuals. And if they're that ok about getting it, are they just as happy to infect someone else, maybe by shagging someone and deliberately not using protection?

I agree, SYNERGY what exactly was the point of your post anyway? We are already aware that you can catch HIV from other sources. Where exactly did Rubberskin say he got it from unprotected sex? You can still catch it if the protection fails for instance. Or maybe he was in hospital and caught it from a transfusion. Just because he is gay doesn't mean he will get it from having sex. I think you should proof read your work before you post it, as everything you said in that post ooozed stupidity.

Well synergy, to answer you questions. I was infected March 2000 and diagnosed June 2000, so about 15 months. I'm not proud of being HIV+. If i could make myself HIV- then i would. I mention that I'm HIV+ a lot for a number of reasons. A lot of peeps still don't wear rubbers and more frighteningly there's a lotta guyz who refuse to wear 'em. Look at todays poll. I want to show people that being HIV+ aint the end of the road. I've found out a lot about myself and my friends from being HIV+. Not everybody who's a member of TheSite puts up posts. There's many guyz and girlz who use it for reference and guidance in their own lives. Hopefully I'm showing people that HIV is still a major problem. Maybe someone out there is HIV+ and doesn't know who to turn to. I'm always available to help any one in need, if i can. I've only been on TheSite about 5 weeks and i've had tons of E-mails from people wanting my advice.
Point 2: Thank you for prejudging me synergy. Obviously you were there coz like you say obviously i didn't use any protection. As you wrer there synergy, why didn't you stop the three guys from raping me? Yes, synergy, i was raped last year. I met a guy on a chatline, went to his place and had the shit kicked out of me by three guys. Then 2 guys held me down while the other one ripped my arse apart with his cock. Every time i said anything, no, stop or even a whimper, i was punched in the face. The worst part was them laughing at me when i had to say "thankyou" for what they'd done.
Ponit 3: Why would you think that i think it's fun for people who contracted HIV from contaminated blood? I'm pretty sure i don't give the impression that being HIV+ is "fun" for me. My mum has been HIV+ for 15 years now, I think she would do anything to change it.
Maybe these people think its 'cool' or something, i dont know, theres no way of understanding the logic of something like that when its so clearly wrong.
rubberskin, i have a lot of respect for you after seeing 3 posts of yours, it seems like youve come a long way in a short time, those are some really gruesome things to have happen to you.
I know how hard it is to be part of a family with this illness so close, god only knows how it feels for you, i expect you go through more emotional turmoil than some of us can even have nightmares about,
you sound pretty positive about your life and you seem like a really strong person. Its good to know these things dont break everyone.

First of all let me say that my heart goes out to you and your family, I can't even begin to imagine what you are all going through. But one thing I do know is that you are a wonderful example of what a human being should be... forgiving, strong, unselfish, selfless to name but a few fo the attributes that you have. As you can see from all the above posts - apart from Synergy's- you are not alone so don't ever feel that you are... if we were all as good as you are, then this world would be a much better place to live in. I have been positive for 15 years contracted through infected blood products, and I have Hepatitus C. So work that out for yourself smart arse and all you wankers on here can go fuck yourselves, cause I dont need to moan and groan about it.
