This is way more political than some will admit...but I have actually seen more than a few of these things...maybe it's a solution to our, US, homeless problem~:naughty:

it is amusing. fun to laugh at how red-neck some people can be. but then one day your just driving thru arkansas on a road trip with a few friends. and you see it in life. see peoples houses with missing walls. old broken rusty pieces of machine or cars in their 'yard' people with reclining chairs on their porch that is really a miracle for staying up.
    it makes ya think...

Sorry my geography is a bit rusty... but aren't some of these areas in or around Tornado alley?

Shouldn't they be digging holes instead? ;)

Yep...tornado alley defines the American character...the Indians that ocasionally passed through the area chose not to remain because it was a natural threat...and considered white folks absolutely insane for setteling in the path of such power.

I was born in NE Arkansas and we once had a tornado come within five hundred feet of our 135 year old farmhouse...which had a storm cellar in the back yard...!

They have a thing down South called 'share cropers' which defines a lot of the folks living in the 'independant living' housing you see here...they farm the land and pay 20% to the owner for the use...really a form of indentured servitude because you can seldom make enough money to leave.
