Don't usually post in here, but thought you guys might be interested in this little snippet. Anyone heard anything about this? Seems stunningly bizarre to me.

The new English drugs craze is fake coke or "foke". It has no effect at all but people are paying £5 ($14) a gram purely for the "glamour" of chopping out lines and sniffing them. Dealers say they sell out every night.

    Ah, sounds like a product of the 'placebo' factory. Along with empty pills and no trace speed.

    Presumable the people who buy it "for the look" are aware the it is foke not coke. It is kind of understandable as although it's not an issue for me, my friends and I don't do coke (or foke!) if someone who's peers all do it but for some reason they are not wanting the real stuff. I mean it is silly but it's not that different from me trying to hide the fact that I don't drink.

    Sounds a bit dodgy to me!

    Anyone who does drugs (especially coke) to look good is a wanker. Drugs should not be about image, and anyone who thinks otherwise has got a screw loose somewhere!!!!

    Call me a cynic but this sounds like a bog standard government policy to deter people from using drugs ? you know along side the usual string of myths about drugs ? rat poison in pills etc... ;)

    To be honest given the quality of most coke in this country you may as well put glucose up your nose, which in fact is probally what most of the £50 gram is.
