I know that this topic has been done before, but that was before the exam results and the dreaded clearing for some. Which University are you going to into September and was it your first choice?
I'm off to Northumbria and it was my first choice.

but deferring till next autumn.
Didn't really have a first choice, just put down a bunch of towns I'd heard about.
What will you be studying?
Are you going to live at home and commute up or will you be living there?
If you're a snobby cow you'll fit right in.
Don't think I am - and I'll be dirt poor,
but I find rahs entertaining somehow.
I'm studying Law for four years and I will be living up there. What about you?
What college are you going to, cymruangel? I was at Jesus college, and it's THE welsh college. Apparently. College mag was called the Sheepshagger!!! And what subject?
Sorry, I wasn't suggesting you were! I go there and I hate it more than anything I have ever done in my whole life. But I don't fit in at all.
Jono_H - I am at Durham, but I was going to transfer to Northumbria xmas gone, but they wouldn't let me because the course was slightly different! Doh!
Anyways, good luck startin uni everyone!
xxx
Make sure you get yourself off to watch the Rugby League in Salford.
I'm off to Lincoln to do Public Relations and Social Policy. I did my A Levels last year and didnt do too well so it was one of the only places that accpeted me but I'm really chuffed to be goling.
just live in manchester then!
btw. havok@musicbox friday
tangled@phoenix saturday
and when is the third series of spaced out?
I'll bear those in mind, cheers!
Third series of Spaced wont be for a while yet, as far as I know. Its likely to be next year at the earliest. In the meantime you'll just have to make do with series 1 & 2 on video and DVD.
That's a shame.. Do you live in Newcastle? Any experiences of where to go or not go?
i did my a levels last year but decided to go back to school and take a new subject/do retakes because i didn't do as well as i should have done for a few reasons. i decided that wasn't for me either, and started a distance learning course to get the grades for cardiff. somewhere along the line i decided to look into clearing, and now suddenly i'm going to bangor next month! all moved quite quickly, but i'm looking forward to it a lot.
(and wow, thesite's changed hell of a lot since i was last here)
Hey GFM, you staying? Hope so.
One of my ex's is going to Bangor to do Psychology as well this year!
Oooh - hello stranger!
I'm going to leeds metropolitan to do public relations.....it was my first choice aswell!:)
but im starting to get a bit scared......the confirmation of my accomodation came through today!
I'm in a double room though and I dont know what will happen when my boyfriend comes up to stay!
eek, what's their name? it's a fairly small place, i might run into them
cornwall has been very sunny lately susie, you picked a good time
as for coming back/staying... i have no tiiiiime! all my time's being sucked up by LiveJournal, i'm about 2nd most active person on the support boards over there (of the technical variety!)... i don't know if i'll be getting internet access in my room at bangor yet, but since i went through clearing i'm thinking probably not. i'm having to train people quickly to take over my work at LJ, as well as do the work i usually do. all in the name of keeping a cool site running smoothly
and there's only a certain amount of typing a person can do when they have RSI
i got my loan entitlement form today, am very pleased at the amount! more than i was expecting, by a long way. so i'm celebrating by purchasing the new coldplay album
*curses you*
mwahahah!
it's only £9.99 on amazon. that's before you add VAT and postage though, bastards. erk, thought i posted how much it cost in my lj, obviously not. was £11.45 anyway. better than hmv! £13.99, £1 postage. costs more to get to the damned shop than it does for postage, so it usually works out quite well.
i'm getting coldplay and you're notttttt!
