I have the doctors later today guys. This will be my 5th visit about hte same thing since 2014.
You'd think I'd have worked out how these things go but I haven't got a clue on what to say or how to say it or anything. It's a double appointment and with a really nice doctor which is good but it's a the twin surgery of the one that's in my village that's in another village and I have to get the bus and I don't know where I'm getting off or anything - I'm about to google maps it to get an idea.
What if they send me away again, surely they might do something now as I've been back once again.

Sorry you're worried
Have you seen the site Doc Ready? It says it's about seeing doctors for mental health difficulties, but I think a lot of it applies to any problems (I don't know what your doctor trip is about).
It can be helpful to really clear about what you want from the doctor. So not just telling them what is wrong, but saying "I need treatment", or that you want to see a specialist, or that there is something you'd like to be referred to.
Let us know how it goes.
When I've been before and asked for something to help me they either tell me "you're too young" "you're not bad enough for this" or "i don't think it's a good idea". I'm hoping with this doctor that he might listen to me a bit more than the others did. He's my "official" doctor whereas the ones I've had before weren't and they were also new ones too. I'm scared of asking for things because they might tell me off for suggesting things... Wouldn't be going in the first place if I thought I was fine would I!!
It's at 4:10pm ages away which isn't helping. I'm going with my mum but I will go in on my own because it's lets pressure but I really don't want to be sent away again being told the same things. I really hope this one gets me somewhere this time round.
Just a thought - do make sure you let them know how bad you can feel when you're at your worst. People often underplay things when they're describing something that's emotionally difficult to talk about, or they find embarrassing. Understatement is also a British bad habit!
And I think a good response to "I don't think it's a good idea" would be, "what treatment do you think would be a good idea then?".
I hope it goes well - let us know
Emmalee - I am using DocReady to help me organise what I want to say, I porbably will write some things down because I find it really hard to get to the point and unjumble all my thoughts, my mum said to me last week it was the first time in 2 years she's actually beginning to understand me so I think it would be a good idea.
Thankyou for helping mmeeeeeee x
Let us know how you get on, thinking of you!
I got given Sertraline for anxiety and told that Im probably going to be more anxious and a bit wobbly for 1-2 weeks because of it which scares me a little...
But 5th time round I've finally got a more certain treatment plan. He also told me that they've essentially been waiting until I came back when I was 18 to give me medication because it made it more justifiable essentially.
Worried about how I'm going to be for the next few weeks...
Thankyou for thinking of me
agreed and looking at the headmeds site, it says it tends to take 2-3 weeks to get the full effect, so hang in there! Here's the article I was looking at: http://www.headmeds.org.uk/medications/21-sertraline
As others have said, well done for going to the docs. Was there any discussion about any talking treatments, as well?
I hope there advice was helpful and that ur able to go about doing what they thought was a good idea for now. Its really important that ur happy with the choice they made and if u have any problems u can always go back and confide in them.
You been up to much in ur spare time Jazzmaraz? Like doing some baking or cooking, listening to music, watching films, seeing family etc? This month is Easter so its always very therapeutic to make some homemade cakes for Easter
Remember im here if u wanna talk xx
I'm already with the college counsellor who's a gem and I've had them for a year and a half now so alls okay there. There is also my local psycology group that's around from time to time in my area. Today however has been by far the worst day, horrible
Drawing and watching youtube CC, and thanks for your support x
Im glad to hear ur watching something what makes u happy.
