Sick pay

Hi I have been told that I'm not entitled to sick pay as I don't earn enough. My hours change each week as I work alternate weekends. I need help with this as from what I have read I earn enough 2 weeks I work when I'm in at weekend but not when im off. Is there anyone that can help as I'm going through a grievance already and hav a solicitor involved due to receiving a bad reference. I'm at my wits end and this is making me more and more depressed and don't feel I cou go back to work but can't aff not to be paid.

Unless you earn more than £111 per week (before tax) you're not entitled to statutory sick pay.

If you're not well enough to work but don't qualify for sick pay you need to claim Employment Support Allowance.
