Do rehab centers really work?

My sister left one and was doing really well at a half way house then had a relapse and tried to kill hersef. I will help pay for her to go back. Would it be better for me to give her money to get her on her feet again and lots of love and sapport. I have never heard of someone truly being helped by digging into their past only hurt.

    Rehab in what way? Drug rehabs work if they support people once they leave. If you're talking more about mental health then it's never a one shot solution. They need support from family and friends as well as professionals. Different kinds of therapy help different people with different conditions.

    I live in a rehabilitation unit. It all depends whether the individual wants to overcome whatever they're struggling with.
