New skills for a new year!

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I've decided this year that I want to make the most of my feeling poorly situation and rather than staring at the walls I am going to learn some stuff!

So far i've got down:

Sculpting*
Jewellery making*
Better at music theory/sight reading etc*
Photography*
History
Speed reading*
Learning german

Can anyone suggest some other good things to try out? Anyone else Deadset on learning something new? A new language, how to draw, her how to put wallpaper on a wall, etc. It would be great to swap some ideas for things to try and where to find good resources.

So far ive found a good ear training app called ear wizard for my music theory and duolingo for learning german.

    Learning Python.
Together with a bit of electronics knowledge I aim to get my own home automated and controlled from a raspberry pi.

Also plan on building a quadcopter.

The rpi is good bit of kit. Already built a fair few interesting projects. Complete Home Automation is the biggie tho.

Ooh how exciting! I (used to) speak portuguese so if you need any help you know where I am. I have a lot of textbooks and resources if you need any recommendations and I've done lots of courses in it both in London and Brazil. My first proper bf who I was with for 5 years was Brazilian if you remember and his English was limited to 'one two tree' and 'I very love you' so my portuguese got pretty good.
