Hi, has anyone here ever volunteered for or used a nightline service at their university before? What do you think of it?

I went to a London based university so we didn't have our own Nightline service, but one for the whole of London. I did use mine a couple of times before i found more appropriate services to use, and it was really pot luck on who picked up the phone. sometimes they were really helpful and engaged in helping you, other times you could just tell they were there to add experience to their CV and would have much rather been in other places. A friend of mine volunteered for hers in Exeter and she found it very demanding and very draining but also very rewarding.
