starting to get really desperate for a girlfriend at 24.

Ive never had a girlfriend and as of late ive sort of been feeling alone since most of my best friends have moved away for other schools. im 24 and an art student. my school dosent seem to be a great place to meet people because it is a commute school and plus i havent been laid for a long time either and its really upsetting me. im a little shy although im better able to hold conversations when i can. someone said i should join a dating club , ive also been trying match.com, i mean im not so desperate that i would take any woman, but its gotten to the point where i may have to settle for someone ugly cause the people i seem to be attracted to dont like me i guess.
