Is there anything you like (food/drink wise) but you dont like it being used to flavour food/drink - or is there something you don't like but you do like the flavour of.

For me. Do like, love coffee but hate it used as flavouring. Detest coffee cake, coffee chocolate, coffee ice cream....

Hate rum, can't drink it, but love rum and rasin ice cream/chocolate, rum sauce, rum flambed stuff...

I can't digest whole tomatoes. Like them pureed or as passata or whatever but whole they make me ill.

I don't really like champagne but I love champagne truffles.

Fruit in otherwise savoury fare - like when raisins start turning up in curries. Or apples in salads. I haven't met a fruit I don't like, but stop putting it in savoury shit!

I'm with Piccolo on tomatoes, so they don't look like a tomatoe any more, fine. Fresh - very very very very yukky.

Chocolate - yum. Chocolate cake - ok. Chocolate yoghurt, chocolate milk, chocolate ice cream - yuk.

Alcohol in cakes. My mums mate likes baking so shes always bringing round loads of cake and all sorts.

Now when i unwrap the foil i see a lovely looking chocolate cake, i do this everytime hoping it doesnt taste like the last time, take a bite and ergh. Why does she have to put rum or whatever it is in it! I just want chocolate!, FEED ME CHOCOLATE!

Putting a slug of Cointreau in chocolate brownies or a slug of Southern Comfort in banana bread is made of win. It's what every good cook should do!

I don't like textures that are hard then squashy, so I don't like eating actual pineapple or actual peach but love the juice or the flavouring.

love pinapple in like fruidsalad/pop etc but hate it on a pizza
love cheese on pizza, on pasta etc but hate it like in a sandwich or not melted

i love the smell and idea of seasoning with curry powder, but I never finish a curry dish. At first its great, but the distinctive taste puts me off very quickly and I don't like it anymore. Sad times. it smells great.
