Would you date a person who lives 38 miles away?

I live in Keighley and she lives in Cleckheaton!

Go on a date, see if you click ... and if you do, 38 miles is bugger all, if you find that you love each other.

I only date people who live 18.62 miles away or 24 stops on a train line with a maximum of 2 changes.

The current Mrs. Piccolo hasn't ever lived in the same town as me. I keep moving and I've still not managed to live within 30 miles of her (in my defence, she lives in Bedford...).

It still works out ok. She works crazy hours and doesn't get much time off, and neither of us drive, so we spend most of our time and money on public transport meeting half way. If it's worth it, you make it work.

Good lord man if you reject people for such pointless reasons you'll never get a date.

It's like 40 minutes away, maybe an hour if there's traffic. Or just both meet in Bradford.

Edit: I'm a stupid idiot!!! Just went on google maps again. And its actually 18 miles NOT 38 miles:impissed: . Sent her another message, just waiting to see if she replies.

38 miles isn't much, and the amount of times you've said to me you want girlfriend! If she wants to meet up, then go for it.

    Your original post says 38?

18 miles is even more of nothing. Christ, I spend two hours each way to go and see Boy every weekend and to me, that's not too bad. I spent a year in Newcastle when my OH at the time was in London. 18 miles is seriously fuck all.

O/T but i read somewhere they are making a geordie version of 'the only way is essex'

OP - travelling isn't such a big deal, you should be flexible enough to try things especially if you feel you are finding it hard to meet people.
