Dinner -
Starter: Prawn,
Main: Turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, cabbage, gravy, stuffing and chipolatas.
Pudding: Trifle
Tea: Cakes, biscuits, crisps, nuts and turkey sandwiches.
Basically mainly lots of crap.
Probably this year
Chocolate from the advent calendar.
Hot, buttery croissants and some propper coffee.
Endless stream of chocoltate.
Usual dinner less the turkey, and chestnuts by the bucket load.
Stuffing sandwich and maybe Christmas cake for tea
This christmas, lots of mac and cheese.
Lunch: Roast Turkey, potatoes, veggies, stuffing, pigs in blankets etc etc and dessert of xmas pudding, trifle, anything really
Afternoon: pigging out on chocolates, crisps peanuts etc
Tea/dinner: leftovers, turkey sandwiches if you;re not already bursting at the seams
I love christmas!!
lunch- prawn cocktail
tea- the usual, turkey, roast potatoes, stuffing, pigs in blankets, gravy, veg
pudding- xmas pudding
Breakfast at 10AM - smoked salmon on homemade bread, Philadelphia cheese (optional), and bucks fizz to drink.
Presents opening at 11AM
Aperitifs at noon, usually a G&T (or 2!) for me. Oh and make that a double shot of Bombay Sapphire while you're at it pretty please.
Dinner at 2PM - traditional turkey roast followed by traditional Christmas pudding. Lots of red wine consumption during the main course and pudding wine during the pudding. Finish off with mince pies with brandy butter, and a shot of my own choice. I normally choose Cointreau.
Then leftover turkey on Boxing Day with bubble n squeak. And the drinking continues.
i dont normally have breakfast. but like my family have a little buffet thing with party food at 11.30 on christmas eve.
then turkey, sausges wrapped in bacon, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots and loads and loads of gravy. oh and gammon - a little of each meat! and the forced down sprouts!
Tiffin for afters but quite a while after as i cant stuff in that much all at once! oh and chocolate whenever really
lunch- turkey with all the trimmings
snacks- anything ranging from cookies and crisps, to quality street chocolates (i have a huge tin of them every year!)
tea- what ever is lying around hah. usually a picky type meal
Snacks - obv any chocolate in my stocking though i think i'm now too old for stockings - last year i put chocolates in my daughters stocking which as she was unf too young I had to eat instead - not sure i will get away with that this year.
Then sherry and crisps before lunch.
Then some kind of starter - usually melon or pate, followed by turkey, roast potatoes, stuffing , sausages, bacon, vegetables including brussel sprouts with cranberry jelly and lots and lots of gravy. All obviously accompained by lots of wine. Followed by some kind of non christmas pudding - usually go for a chocolate christmas pudding - with brandy butter, brandy cream and all of that other stuff (everyone else has mice pies and christmas pudding) this is accompanied by pudding wine and usually the queens speach.
Then more chocolates and coffee/tea whilst opening presents - watching films etc - this goes on for hours.
Then my favourite part of the day christmas tea which includes cold turkey, ham, pickled onions, mango chutney, branston pickle, cheese, bread, bisuits, salad - including beatroot - this part is accompanied by lots of tea. Followed by Christmas Cake and yule log with champagne.
Then we get presents from the chrisstmas tree which are usually chocolate so we eat those and probably drink some more wine along with lots of games like charades.
This year unf i'm going to my in laws and they don't do a proper big eat on a christmas day (as they are all unfeasably skinny) - and whats worse - they don't do christmas day tea!!! Just a bit of cake - thankfully i think we will have to leave early so i can prepare my own yummy tea at home
Then we have a big meal on christmas day around lunch time with stuffing, turkey, sweet potatos with pecans and marshmellows, vegis, breads, cranberries, pie.
And then we eat the leftovers for dinner... and the next few days
And the cookies and snacks are always flowing.
i might make that Delia torte. Didnt make it last year but still got the glucose syrup.
