i am wondering if anyone can help here.
i seem to be having problems with my audio settings.
when i am on msn and someone sends me a voiceclip or we have a call it seems to work okay, but when i go on skype or to sound recorder, no recording device can be detected. i've checked, and all 3 programmes have exactly the same boxes ticked, so i really don't know what's going on

Can you select the device you want in the audio settings? I have 2 sets of headphones, one wired and another wireless and I get to choose the device i want to use for the mic and the audio output when either are connected.
I find skype doesn't always automatically switch devices if one is plugged in whilst the program is already running, hence I have to change the settings manually.
