What have you found in your loft?

BillieTheBotBillieTheBot Posts: 8,721 Bot
It could be a house that you've bought, or rented, student digs, or it could be your parents' house. What weird and wonderful stuff have you found in your loft? Ideally, it would be stuff that was left behind by previous owners or tenants and you didn't know about it until you searched the loft.

In my loft (purchased house), I have found:

- rocking chair
- an old Mustek scanner (no leads though)
- spare floorboards that matches my floors
- Christmas tree and loads of décors
- TV wall mount for old CRT TVs
Beep boop. I'm a bot.

Oh, I found a doll as well! It was a life-sized baby and she wore real clothes around 12 months old. She had a few other outfits folded up as well, all wrapped up in a black bin liner. The doll was very realistic except for blonde hair that was unnaturally long for her age. I did a bit of research on the net and I'm pretty sure it was called "Sally" by Zapf Creations. Funnily enough, I do keep a few figures/dolls of Disney characters, mainly because I like Disney though.

Oh, and I also found loads of cards addressed to a girl called Emma, wishing her luck in her moving in this house. Obviously she was the previous owner of my house!

What do you mean by taxed Katralla? If they're the original 1980s MLP, they could fetch a bit. Or if not, you could make them into customs.

Taxed as in took them. Yeah, they were original 80s ones. I gave them to my daughter to play with.

Make sure she hangs onto them because they'll be sellable. For no good reason, I got rid of £250+ of technical lego and my 80s Transformers collection

They're not in good condition, and I'll just chuck them once she's finished with them. I'm sure that sets in good condition are worth something but, I can't be bothered to hold on to stuff and sell it. But, she had good use out of them so, they were a great freebee.

    Awesome! That's a brilliant find. :D

We've tended to leave things in lofts more than find them. All those stupid things you steal as a student have been stashed the loft before we moved out. I think in the last one we left: a JCB hydraulic hose, a mattress, half an oven and the standard cliché, road cones.

Ahhh yes, road cones. I saw my fair share of those during my student years :-)

@ Wyetry, did you have a betamax video player to view the pr0n?

I've found 2 more items late on Sunday, but I need you guys please to try and identify what they are! I had some fitters around my place yesterday to thicken the insulation. Now that's complete, most of my stuff is back in the loft except for these two mystery items. Trust me, the larger one was a right bitch to get through the hatch way!

    Unidentified.jpg

    Thanks in advance.

The big one looks like it could be a chair, if it had two bars and some fabric - a bit like a beach chair.
