brain scan

I think i need one, but i'm afraid to bring it up with the doctors because they'll probably think i'm being totally neurotic/ an hysterical woman... :impissed:

What do you think? Would it be worth my while bringing it up?

    Doctors will give you a brain scan if they feel they have something to diagnose by it.

    They don't do scans on a 'whim' because 1) they would be inundated by people wanting ad hoc scans for no reason, and 2) it all costs money.

    Why do you think that you need a brain scan?

    It's not really a whim.

    I see things and sometimes hear things. I just don't want my only choice to be taking antipsychotics, which i tried once and it sucked and did nothing, when there could be something potentially more serious causing this.
