Hair help please

Hi Guys!!

My friend is doing hairdressing at college. She has cut my hair loads of times and always done a goog job.

Dyes her own and her sister's hair, so totally trusted her to do mine.

My hair is naturally dark blonde, and I dye it a warm chocolote brown, semi perm.

I wanted a change and have gone a browny mahogany violet.

My roots were coming through when she did it. I told her I was hesitant about getting it done when planned, as my roots were coming through. So suggested I dye it my normal brown first, so its all the same colour, then she could put the new colour on a few days later. She assured me that she knew what she was doing, and would apply the dye to my roots last, and leave it on for the last 5-10 mins of the process.

As predicted,my roots are lighter. I LOVE the colour, but not happy about roots. So, how can I rectify this?

Would a brown or mahogany toner help? Or make it worse?

Should I dye my roots brown again n blend it down into the rest of my hair?

Thank You in advance xx
