Thrush.

How the hell do you get rid of it?

And do I have it? My discharge is white, sometimes thick with some lumps.

    Yeah it sounds probable, although taking a trip to the doctors or chemists is probably the best way to double check.

    This website is really good for treatment options. It's easily treated and very common though so don't be afraid about talking to the doctor or chemist about it! And treatments are available over the counter.

    to reduce some unfortunate side effects you need to be using a steroid fortified treatment. These are prescription only.

    Although if you've not had thrush diagnosed before then I believe the advice is that you go to the doctor or nurse the first time to make sure that's what yo'uve actually got.

    I know it is definatley Thrush. My mum has had it and the symptoms I have match the ones on this site too.

    Yes, but the symptoms of Thrush are very similar to the symptoms of plenty of other things.

    Also if you still think there's a chance you could be pregnant you really need to see your doctor, as you will probably not be able to have the standard treatment.

    Maybe they can do a test at the same time and then you will know :)

    Erm... one of the many ways you can get thrush is through sex.

    But I think that, as you apparently believe you might be pregnant then your GP will be able to test for that plus give you appropriate treatment for your discharge...

    Their are a few ways you can get thrush including through sex. another common condition with discharge is BV(bacteria vaginosis), which has similar symptoms. The best thing is go to the doc, possible get a swab taken and the right meds.
