He aint that good a liar...
I still think you should have spent all the money on lottery tickets, its a sure fire plan, trust me.
summit like that. not sure if its three months or longer but you do eventually get it back IF noone claims it.
Fuck me!!!
Unless your winding us up, when you hand that in to the police, they are deffinately gonna check the serial numbers on the notes, and they're most likely stolen etc., so you aint gonna see that money again
well put it this way. if you were to keep it and it was fake then when you go to spend it there just going to reject it and maybe even phone the police on you. then you'll be getting done.
but on the other hand, if you hand it in the police will check whether it's fake or not and you'll save yourself alot of hassle, i think!
i'm not sure if it works the same with money, especially with it being such a large amount but my dad found a really expensive camera, proper state of the art type things that costs thousands. he handed it into the police and no one claimed it within 6 months so it was given to us.
Anyways, - fool! You obviously didn't hide it very well, did you?
Tut tut, you should have given it to me, I would have kept it somewhere safe...
lol:D
If you keep this, then you're stuffed. If you hand it in without delay, then it's possible that you may see some reward, and not be arrested. I think you're insane. Completely.
It never occurred to you that an amount like that isn't left around without good reason?
Lunatic.
Repetitive. Repetitive. Reptiti...oh this is boring!
LUNATIC??? LOL thats rich comin from you!! Ok obvisly you aint been listening to me this past while!!!!! The money belongs to drug dealers and how I found that out was I rang the number which was below the money in the briefcase and they asked me a code name then I hung up!! so the next time U wanna say something to me u FOOL then pm me about it first!!!!!!!!!
Why is "Lunatic" rich coming from me? Don't question my background, pal. You'll lose.
You have illegally acquired money. Doesn't matter whose, you now have it. That makes *you* arrestable. No more, no less.
Drug dealers, if this is true, may well have some interest in recovering this money, no?
Or, maybe, the codename might be something else. Like a police operation. I don't know. But then, you've got the money.
And therefore, I repeat, with justification. Lunatic.
Listen up Ok!!! This money was in a field In which MY FAMILY OWN!!! so ammm if you had of thought what You where talking about then you would of thought that the police would of had to ask for permission to use OUR field for a so called "OPERATION" wouldn't they?? well another thing if there are drug dealers after me then so be it!! I dont really give a shit!! And yes I might be a criminal for keeping the money But I KNOW IF THERE WAS ANYONE ELSE IN MY POSITION THEY WOULD KEEP THE MONEY TOO!!!!! so please stop annoying me!  SOMETIMES THE WORD JEALOUSY COMES TO MIND!!
Ahah. This I find...well, I guess first of all I find it ironic. Then I find it amusing. Then I find it a little scary. Then I'm just left to wonder...
First of all, we'll assume for the moment you did find 42k in a breifcase in a field, because I just don't think you could make this kinda thing up.
Secondly, you ignored all the better advice given on this site, and let greed get the better of you. Ever read "A Simple Plan" by Scott Smith? It's about grown men in exactly your position. They find money out in the sticks, and wonder what to do with it. They figure it's drug money - certainly that it's illegal money - and therefore the criminals wont be looking for it through the authorities. But in trying to hide it from everyone, greed gets the better of them, and carnage entails. Needless deaths. Ultimately, the money ends up being burned. I seriously suggest you read it before you do anything else, might give you some insight from a better equipped view point, to make no mention of relative minds.
Thirdly. The origins of the money. You called the number on the breifcase. Ok, so what did that do? You found out nothing, being able to only draw inferences that this is some sort of criminal money. The password? Who knows, it could mean anything. You don't know it's drug money. Hate to say it, but it could be terrorist money. I don't claim to know NI all too well, but what I do does lead to the distinct possibilty that it's not the most safe 42k in the world, and that it certainly is desperately needed money. Just think about it, there could be a serious safety issue here, especially if word gets out that you've got it.
Fourth and last point, I think you need to think very, very hard about your chosen course of action. The more I think about, the more I realise that you should have handed it over straight away, for all the reasons listed above. Yes, it's nice to have a spare 42k floating about, but at this sort of risk? This is a gamble, and all you know is that the odds are stacked against you. You still have a small window of opportunity, to hand it over. You'll get reward money, and who knows, you might even get it back if it's clean, which is exceptionally unlike, but you don't know for sure.
Which is what it comes down to. You don't know anything for sure, and this has the potential to cause serious havoc with your life. Hand it over no morty, and save yourself the hassel.
"Have", not "of". Don't question my intelligence and reading powers if you can't write, eh?
Don't generalise. If I was in your position, I would have handed it in about five minutes after I found it. But then, Sir, we appear to be of a different breed, you and I. Jealousy doesn't come in to it. The happiness which I seek cannot be bought by money.
Honesty is the best policy. Unless you are a crook.
(oh and if I annoy you, then, so be it. Heard that one before somewhere, but I can't place it....)
Ok turtle I think that this advice is really good!!! But no one understands what Position I am in... Because I have been working my ass of to get a new laptop!! and I mean this could get me 20 laptops!!! Ok I dunno but I am thinking of keeping it and handing it in!! I don't honestly Know what to do!! Seriously think about it Guys It puts me in A really difficult position!! Ok I don't know what I am going to do But I am going to sleep On it and see what happens!! Thanks for the advice Turtle!!
Yes, it could buy you 20 laptops. But there's a reason these people are crooks: they're trying to get rich quick. At least have the honour of doing it the legal way.
Money is not everything. I honestly can't believe you, you're not even delving into the moral complications of "money can't buy happiness". At least do us the favour and make a pretence of a moral dilemma.
Morty, you need to get your head straight. Money is useful, but it ain't everything. You're putting yourself at too great risk, and I don't think you're fully appreciating how much this could upset your life if it all goes wrong. Make the call and hand over the money mate.
With the suitcase containing a phone number, it sounds like it may have been left for a drop off, rather than someone merely losing the case, or stashing it for safe-keeping.
