    To not get yourself checked before starting a relationship is downright ignorant, but doesn't reflect on his character. To pursue a happily married woman would be a bad indication, but you didn't say anything about the state of the marriage.

    Unless of course he knowingly gave her the STI, which would make him a cunt of the highest order. If it was accidental, I don't think that necessarily makes him a bad person.

    Pursuing married people isn't generally an indication of a fine upstanding character, but then again, for a married woman to allow herself to be pursued for two years suggests she is encouraging his advances somewhat, and then she is much more blameworthy than he is. I take it most normal people don't pursue people for two years once they have made it perfectly clear that they are happily married and not interested, after all, so he must have been getting some positive feedback.
