Dunno if there is a thread like this...
But...
What is your all time fave line/lyric in a song??
Mine's "I'm on warm milk and laxatives, cherry flavoured antacids"
It's from Penny royal tea- by Nirvana

such a sad song it reminds me of my grandad
"Don't you cry
Or suffer over me
I will be waiting for you
Don't you cry
Angels never fade away
I'll be watching over you
See you through"
chorus ^
Say my rhymes are sissy
What, what, what, why, why, why?
Be more constructive with your feedback...please
Because I rap about reality

1 Giant Leap ft Maxi Jazz and Robbie Williams - My Culture
I like pink floyd.
Ohh I've just remebered another really good one (well, actually I'm listening to the song!)
"Am I one of the elements, you can light your cigar on? Why does it always have to be fire?"

all of my favourite lyrics are because i identify with them or they remind me of something. my favourite of the moment issss
'i'm about to see a million things i thought i'd never see before
and i'm about to do all of the things i dreamed of
and i don't even miss you at all'
makes me feel really positive :]
Hmm... well, penny royal tea is my favourite song EEVVVEEERRR. And I think that line just really sums up the things people go through when on drugs (I know no-one really knows what the songs about, but that's how I think of it)
Also, I love the way Kurt sung it

Athlete.
Ha Ha love their songs (tho not as good as The Boosh  ) I even have the album
The sone with David Bowie is the best, ha!
"Bowie's in space, Bowies in spppaaace! You freaky old Bastard yooou!!"
But yeah, don't have a fave lyric in a song :chin:
Two of my favourite sections are:
"Waltzing matilda whipped out her wallet
The sexy boy smiled in dismay
She took out four twenties cause she liked round figures
Everybody's a queen for a day"
and
"Believe me, that its just a lie
Thats what she tells her friends
cause the real song, the real song
Which she wont even admit to herself
Beat narrow heart, the song lots of people know
Its a painful song
Itll only say the truth
It lasts for sad songs
Penny for a wish
A wish wont make you a soldier
A pretty kiss or a pretty face
Cant have its way
The tramps like us who were born to play"

That light I never knowed
An' it ain't no use in turnin' on your light, babe
I'm on the dark side of the road
Still I wish there was somethin' you would do or say
To try and make me change my mind and stay
We never did too much talkin' anyway
So don't think twice, it's all right" - Bob Dylan (Don't think twice, it's alright)
When you cut me loose
Floating on an ocean
And confused
Winds are whipping waves up
Like sky scrapers
And the harder they hit me
The less I seem to bruise
And when I
Find the controls
I'll go where I like
I'll know where I want to be
But maybe for now
I'll stay right here
On a silent sea
On a silent sea
i'll find some and post heh.
I really like that
I wouldn't even know where to start as there are so many lyrics I love, but Crowded House's lyrics have always inspired me...I've always liked this from How Will You Go:
"And you know I'll be fine,
Just don't ask me how it's going
Give me time, give me time
'Cos I want you to see
'Round the world, 'round the world
Is a tangled-up necklace of pearls"
