Growing a Face Book groups

If you have an existing FB Group what can you do to make the number of members grow quickly?

Is there a way to get the existing members (in this case about 350 people) to recommend the group to their friends on FB and so on?

    What is the group relating to? Maybe it only has a taget audience of 350 people...

    More like it's getting lost amongst the tree's - it's about doing things in London - London being the key word and so there's hundreds of other groups in FB with London in the title

    I know when you install a new app it says tell all your friends about it - dunno if there's something there to tell people do you want to invite your friends.

    Is there not a column on the right that shows what groups your friends have joined? I've found a few groups that way, so maybe after a while people will join.

    The only other way i can think of is to add random people.
