O noes! My coat!

Hey guys!

So I washed my dry clean only cashmere coat (cold water with no detergent) and since then the dye has run every time it has got wet and covered my hands in black dye so i look like a tit.

Its the only coat i have and if i happen to wear it then it rains im pretty fudged!

Can anyone help?

    Since it's dry clean only could you not get it dry cleaned and see if that stops the dye running?

    bring it to the dry cleaners and tell them your problem. Maybe you washed off some kind of 'isolation coating' that held the color in place and they can re-apply it?

    A dash of salt in the wash keeps new dark jeans from running... though I don't know if that would be good for cashmere

    Thanks for your replies guys!

    The dry cleaning place was not helpful, i soaked it in vingar and water though and it is ok now, it just smells of vinegar a bit!
