I am so fucking excited about finishing my exams so that I can start playing Final Fantasy VIII all over again! For the millionth time! I properly love this game. I grew up with the series, and the boys from these games were my only crush until I was about 18. Yes, I am a geek. And yes, my boyfriend does resemble Squall. But I realise I was so young when I started playing and it makes me go 'Ah...Back in the day...' even just to hear the music.

What games made up your childhood?

Most of the ones that were making me feel nostalgic don't any more, probably because I kept playing them once in a while.

Ocarina of Time for example, I've played it so many times it doesn't feel nostalgic at all any more. But when thinking about it, I do feel nostalgic.

My mate bought Final Fantasy VIII on the PC, but his PC couldn't run it. So he came round mine and we played it together. Most of the ones I remember are based on who I was playing with rather than how good the games were.

    Other than that:

    Super Mario Bros 3 (NES)
    Manic Miner (Spectrum)
    Rocky Horror Picture Show (Spectrum)
    Toejam & Earl (Mega Drive)
Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Master System)
    Sonic the Hedgehog (Master System)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Master System)
    California Games (Master System)
    Asterix and Obelix (Master System)
    Olympic Gold (Master System)
    Sensible Soccer (Master System)
    Sunset Riders (Arcade)
    Ecco the Dolphin (Mega Drive)
    Flashback (Mega Drive)
Zelda: A Link To The Past (SNES) - borrowed off my sister's boyfriend, who she broke up with before I completed it. :grump:
    Super Mario World (SNES)
    Primal Rage (SNES)
    Sim City (SNES)
    GTA (PC)
    Goldeneye (N64)
Mario Kart 64 (N64) - I love the SNES version, but this is the one that I remember playing with my friends.
Zelda: OOT (N64) - the first game where I really got involved in the plot.
Deus Ex (PC) - the second game where I really got involved in the plot.
WCW vs. NWO World Tour (N64) - back in the day when WCW was soooo much better than WWF.
    WCW Revenge (N64)
    Half Life (PC)
    Fallout 2 (PC)
    Mario 64 (N64)
    Mystical Ninja (N64)
Beetle Adventure Racing (N64) - such an underated game btw.
    Soul Calibur 2 (GameCube)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 (GameCube)
    Timesplitters 2 (GameCube)
    Super Monkey Ball (GameCube)
    Super Mario Sunshine (GameCube)

And I haven't owned a console or upgraded my PC since I finished uni.
