How to add a new computer to an existing wireless network

right, when my mums boyfriend set up our wireless he made it like a hidden network, so now that I'm trying to add a new computer to it, it's not letting me, and I have no idea how to get round this, can anyone help?

    Do you know the SSID? If you type it in manually, you should be okay.

    Just enter the SSID and password & it should connect. Make sure he doesn't have any other limits, MAC based and such.
    On Windows, go to Wireless Networks, then the connections tab I think it is, and just add it - since the wireless scan wont find it and show it, so you need to tell it to.
    Ubuntu you need to do the same, just add it through "Add other network".
    MacOSX go to the AirPort thing then Join other network. Do the same.
