I beleive it's wierd for someone to ring me up and ask for a lend of my iPod to "walk into town with"...

Does anyone else think this is wierd?

Especially weird if you didn't know who that person was.

I'm probably the only one imagining this person walking into town with a life size Ipod in tow.

Pretty much, but chatting away to each other :)

Anyhow, yes that is a little weird. Surely they have a mobile that can play mp3 or something.

it's a bit odd yes, but it depends who's asking. If a good friend asked me I wouldn't feel weird.

My housemate A, I would have no qualms, or any of my other friends. I'm very attached to mine though, so would need 100% gurantee of his safety :D

It's someone who just pops up every now and again, then disappears for a few months..

I would never ask someone for a lend of their iPod.

Yeah, that's a bit weird. It would be less weird if it was a CD player or something, but an ipod has all the owners music on it too, so it would have to be someone with the same music taste... I have such a random taste in music that I don't know anybody who would like everything on mine...

You also have the dilemma of sharing headphones, which brings up hygene issues.

sharing headphones is really bad, its how i get almost every ear infection i've had. I don't even let people touch my Djing headphones...

    In-the-ear headphones...

    Wax anyone?

See where I'm getting with hygene now?

It's analogous to sharing a comb.
