eBay: Do I have to pay for expired offer?

Hi, I made an offer on a phone but the offer expired, few hours late the guy has sent me an invoice, is there anything I can do?

    If the offer expired and you don't want to go through with the purchase, just send him an email telling him sorry :)

    I thought that when the offer expires your good to look elsewhere but he has sent me an invoice, am speaking to eBay.... I guess they will side with seller.

    But surely if the offer has expired, then he is wrong to send you the invoice.

    The other buyer must of backed out last minute and he's trying to fob it off to you

    I'm not so sure but if it was paypal they'd side with the bloody buyer.
