I've got to find a subject for a song cycle, it needs to be a political event or a piece of literature or something like that...

any ideas?

    Spanish Civil War
    Frankenstein
    maybe the first boudica book???

    As in the Boudica novels? If you were going to do something about Roman Britain why not look at something like Farewell Britannia by Simon Young or The Heirs of King Verica by Martin Henig, which mix history with imagined anecdote.

    Otherwise, what about tracing the civil rights movement from Rosa Parks to MLK, Jr. to Obama or something like that?
